  1. Children go to kindergarten at the age of 3 and the school starts at the age of 6.
  2. Some schools have a canteen. Most schools have a bakery. However, afternoon classes are not every day and there are usually stores nearby or you bring your own food.
  3. The teachers will start to give homework between grade 2 and 3.
  4. There are afternoon lessons twice a week between class 6 to 10. The number of days with afternoon lessons varie depending on the subjects the students have chosen.
  5. The summer vacation last 6 weeks and take place at irregular intervals. The children can be taken out of school for vacation. Compulsory education prohibits pupils from leaving school early.
  6. The classes between Year 1 and Year 11 are graded between 1 and 6, with 1 being the best grade. From the upper school onwards there are grade points between 0 and 15. 15 points is the maximum that can be achieved.
  7. Usually there is only one change of school from elementary school to secondary school.

  5. Vacation take place regularly every 7-8 weeks (2 weeks) the summer break lasts 2 months.
  6. Grades range from 0 to 20, with 20 (the best grade) rarely being awarded and zero (the worst grade) more frequently.
  7. The school is changed up to 4 times during the school career.
